Leveling-UP: One Level at a Time

If you were to create a Level-Up Plan what would it look like?
We’re all here for continued progression, expansion and elevation, which demands an acceptance of the possibility for more love, internal peace, confidence, receptivity, prosperity, joy, and abundance. Incidentally, this also demands that we realize that our greatness is not about us, but our contribution to and impact in the world; your level-up matters because it provides a real life example of what’s possible for others.
As a life coach, I’ve had several clients who began their coaching process experiencing feelings of discontent and the frustration that comes with a readiness to grow but a fear of rocking the boat. Their great news is, recognizing that they’ve arrived at the crossroads between ‘I’m doing just fine’ and ‘what else is possible,’ opens up an opportunity to create the next steps on their personal ladder of growth.
As a direct result of our work together, those same clients released excess weight, doubled their income, launched their dream business, and permanently disrupted lifelong addictions to self-sabotage, unhealthy relationships, etc. In the end, we both benefit from the knowledge that there is always more…and most importantly, there are levels to this ish.
Leveling-up takes a growth and benefit mindset, self-compassion, clear requests for support and gratitude for how far you’ve come. Every day is a fresh opportunity to kick some ass, yours included. A level-up plan allows space for you to wake up feeling challenged, focused and inspired! Take some time to get clear and create a concise, short-term plan that will catapult your life to the next level.

Here’s an example of my Level-Up Plan for Q2: Walking My Talk!
1. 5k Runs I’ve been training for months, released a bit of weight and built up great stamina and endurance. It’s time to challenge my body and mind by registering and running in the two 5k marathons I’ve been plotting on for years. This will further prove my (unoriginal) theory that whatever I put my mind and effort into I can achieve.
2. De-clutter and create order
Its spring cleaning season and way past time for ridding my space of old clothes, papers and other materials that I don’t use or need. I’ve been doing this off and on over the past year and enjoy the feeling of letting go. The garage struggle is real though. My wife and I are planning a major storage bin decluttering session. We can’t wait to permanently throw away twelve years of collective clutter.
3. Financial literacy for liberation
I’ve been talking about financial literacy and legacy for a while now and have supported clients in this effort. With that said, I get to improve in this area as well and since wealth is fueled by clear strategies, expectations and discipline; it is only fitting that as I gain greater clarity on what’s next for me I create a new and improved financial plan with my advisor.
4. Honor connection with others with my schedule and commitments Time management is one of the keys to life. Creating time to spend and share with others has been a struggle in the past but, no more. I don’t think I’ll ever break completely from loving the comfort and solidarity of home and my introverted ways, but connecting with the outside world creates new and exciting possibilities for myself and others. I’m committed to focusing outward and enjoying what is created.
5. Seeking and accepting support No one is an island. My work, success and ongoing plan for leveling-up is, and will forever be, a direct result of letting people know who I am and what I’m up to. I’ve learned over the years how much further I can get with the support of others. It’s more than possible to be and have it all [insert what “all” looks like for you], but it’s clear that I can’t do it all ...without support.
In the immortal words of the Notorious B.I.G.:
Sky is the limit and you know that you keep on
Just keep on pressin' on
Sky is the limit and you know that you can have
What you want, be what you want
Sky is the limit and you know that you keep on
Just keep on pressin' on
Sky is the limit and you know that you can have
What you want, be what you want, have what you want, be what you want
What does leveling up mean for you? What would your level-up plan include? Where will you expand and elevate your life or business? Where can you find support?
